Lucky Directions (Kua Number)
Where to face when you work, which way to point your bed, and which corner to avoid, from the Eight Mansions (八宅) school.
The Kua year follows Li Chun (around Feb 4), so January and early-February births use the previous year.
About the Kua number
East and West groups
Kua 1, 3, 4 and 9 form the East group; 2, 6, 7 and 8 the West group. Each group shares its four good directions, which is why some couples find one arrangement suits both.
What "facing" means
The direction your face points when you sit at a desk or stand at a stove. For the bed, it is the direction the crown of your head points while lying down.
Priority
You rarely get all four. Fix the desk first, then the bed, then the front door.
